Capabilities: Helping CEOs and CFOs at public companies communicate with shareholders, analysts, portfolio managers, potential investors and other financial audiences, including the business media. The process starts with planning – what does the company want to achieve? From there, various tactical elements are considered and undertaken where needed. Those include directing (writing) annual reports, annual meeting speeches, shareholder presentations, earnings webcasts and earnings releases, analyst and fund manager targeting for investment meetings, financial media relations, and other activities that ensure that the company is fully and fairly valued by the market.

Skills Expertise: I’ve worked extensively with public companies and financial institutions, and can translate “financial-speak” into plain English for shareholders, customers, employees and others. As a former newspaper reporter (and practicing financial journalist), I can identify “what’s news” and activities that would waste time and money. I directly with corporate staff as well as with agencies that need a financial component on their team. Additionally, the international experience I gained while working in London provides clients a unique insight into international financial markets.

Clients: My client list has included public companies of all sizes (from a gas and electric utility to a lighting manufacturer) as well as coal companies, banks and financial institutions, brokerages, and other public, private and pre-public companies.
